New innovations in use of Technology in Health issues and menstrual cycle presented at the All India Women's Conference

To move closer toward Human Touch's overall goal of equality of opportunity for all, starting a conversation about gender-specific societal and biological barriers is imperative. Women's health — which includes the influence of menstrual cycles, pregnancy, and menopause — is one of these barriers, and addressing it would make for a fairer society. Kriti Naren and Rajeshwari Mitra — our Core Committee Members — found an opportunity to address this with technology. Kriti, who had previously developed a menstrual cycle tracking software as a Computer Science project at college, along with Rajeshwari, made a case for women-specific health apps at the All India Women's Conference. They highlighted the benefits that these apps can bring Indian women, such as convenience, confidentiality, and, above all, confidence.
